For four hours each day, dancers will participate in ballet class focusing on the barre, center work and jumps, pointe work, and variations from classical ballets such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Giselle,” and “Corsair.”

With her unique knowledge of the Vaganova Method, Miss Osipova will emphasize basic stance and correct placement, turnout, aplomb, epaulment and port de bras as well as simple batterie and turns on two legs and on one leg.

An exciting opportunity to increase your skill, knowledge, technique, and endurance. This workshop will also help teachers apply the principles of the Vaganova syllabus to their dance curriculums.

Summer Teacher Workshop will benefit both experienced and novice teachers by providing insight into the theory and principles of the Vaganova syllabus. Teachers will gain knowledge that will assist them in ordering their exercise routines and in developing superior combinations. The ballet mastery gained will enable all teachers to work with their students with greater confidence and awareness.

Miss Osipova will provide detailed explanations, demonstrations, and analysis of ballet class at the bare, in center work and jumps, and in pointe work. This Academy of Russian Ballet Summer Teacher Workshop will be invaluable in helping teachers order exercise routines, develop superior combinations, and improve ballet knowledge and mastery.
