Our Summer Dance Programs offer comprehensive training in Russian classical ballet technique (Vaganova syllabus) and skills development. Train with Russian Guest Teacher Mrs. Elena Shokhina, graduate of the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy St. Petersburg, Russia.
Mrs. Shokhina graduated from the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1991. Upon graduation, She was perform with St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre, and reached the rank of Principal dancer, Her repertoire includes Romeo & Juliet, Paquita, Don Quixote, A Streetcar Named Desire, Swan Lake , Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan among others . In 2000 Mrs. Elena Shokhina join Nevada Ballet Theatre and danced principal roles in works by Peter Anastos, George Balanchine, Bruce Steivel, Kathryn Posin, Mark Diamond, Bruce Marks,
James Jeon, Roy Tobias, and Val Caniparoli.
Elena participated in the IX International Ballet Festival of Miami (IBFM) in 2004.
