Intensive Ballet Camp

Academy of Russian Ballet Summer Dance Programs offer comprehensive training in Russian classical ballet technique (Vaganova syllabus) and skills development.
For four hours each day, dancers will participate in ballet class focusing on the barre, center work and jumps, Pointe work, and variations from classical ballets such as “Sleeping Beauty” “Giselle” “Corsair” and many more. Students will continuing classes such as Contemporary, Modern and Aerial Ballet, Character dance and partnering.


With unique knowledge of the Vaganova Method, guest teachers and faculty staff will emphasize basic stance and correct placement, turnout, aplomb, epaulment and port de bras as well as simple batterie and turns on two legs and on one leg.  An exciting opportunity to increase skill, knowledge, technique, and endurance.



Guest Teachers:
 Toleu Mukanov & Michaela Macauley
Toleu Mukanov graduated from Kyrgyzstan Ballet School. In 2002 he was a gold medal recipient at the International Ballet Competition in Crimea, Ukraine, and in 2006 he received a silver medal at the Almaty Ballet Competition. Mr. Toleu danced with Astana Ballet in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan’s Opera and Ballet Theatre, Moscow’s Russian Ballet Theatre, Russian National Ballet Company, Festival Ballet Providence and  Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota. His repertoire include many solo and principal roles from Classical and Contemporary Ballets.
Michaela Macauley graduate from Gelsey Kirkland Ballet: New York, NY where she was trained as classical ballet dancer with Vaganova syllabus inclining.  2016 Michaela’s first season with Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota.
